Learn how to craft modern floral designs with the sustainable practices of European hand-tied bouquet, submerged flowers, a taped grid or flexible branches. The secret to success is in the knowledge of how to secure your flowers into a container without floral foam or chemicals.

 

Our sustainable Zoom series offers students a close-up view of step-by-step flower placement, in-depth discussion of shape and form, along with time to ask questions and student design review. 

 

Take one or all three in the series, for sustainable floral design makes crafting a beautiful floral arrangement fun, easy and most importantly protects Mother Nature.

Designing Store Bought BouqueT: Winter Pallet with Herbs

Learn to create a beautiful and professionally styled, fresh floral arrangement made with flower bouquets purchased at a grocery or box store. Through a close-up step-by-step demonstration of simple floral design techniques students will leave zoom class with a modern floral design bursting with charm and color.  This class is perfect for first time floral designers and flower enthusiasts. Learn the tips and tips of the trade for keeping flowers looking fresh and long lasting.

Valentine roses and berrieS: Sustainable Floral Design. European Hand-Tied Bouquet 

 

Learn the simple sustainable technique of crafting a floral bouquet in your hand with the use of household supplies. Easy tips on crafting a romantic Valentine rose hand-tied bouquet will be presented on our zoom class with close up views of step-by-step flower placement ensuring floral success. Students will have time to ask questions and participate in personal design review. The beauty of an opulent valentine rose hand-tied bouquet can be display by dropping it into your favorite container, vase or compote. Learn the tips and tricks of the trade for keeping flowers looking fresh and long lasting.

Saturday, 02/13/21

Sustainable Floral Design: submerged flowers. calla lilies and pussy willow

 

Explore the visual aspects of blossoms that are wrapped in flexible branches and submerged below the waterline for a fresh look in floral design. Our zoom class will present close up views of the step-by-step underwater insertion of tulips and branches that will inspire personal artistic expression.  Students will have time to ask questions and participate in personal design review. Learn the tips and tricks of the trade for keeping flowers looking fresh and long lasting.

Sustainable Floral Design: flexible branches. spring bulbs: tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths

 

Learn the simple technique of crafting fresh bendable branches in and around a container creating a natural grid for holding the flowering spring bulbs anchored in your container.  Our zoom class will present close up views of the step-by-step inserting of branches into a container and each flower placement ensuring floral design success. Students will have time to ask questions and participate in personal design review.  Learn the tips and tricks of the trade for keeping flowers looking fresh and long lasting.

This class will take place online.

Sustainable Floral Design: taped grid. floral arranging blue and white flowers

 

Learn to create a taped grided for all containers including Delft inspired blue and white ceramic vases and tableware. A taped grid is the easy professional way in creating floral arrangements from large to small, short to tall. Our zoom class will present close up views of the step-by-step taping of a grid, each flower placement of blue hydrangeas, white roses, silvery dusty miller and Delft blue thistle ensuring floral design success. Students will have time to ask questions and participate in personal design review.  Learn the tips and tricks of the trade for keeping flowers looking fresh and long lasting.
