Our class will focus on the styling of “the Parisian soft palette” with discussion of color and shade selection for a lush and chic floral design. Our creative inspiration is the 19th and 20th century Gilded Age. Designers will explore the easy techniques for crafting an opulent rose centerpiece of a bygone era. The key to a modern take on the Gilded Age extravagant floral styling is a low silver container and ferns. Through demonstration of step-by-step flower placement and creative process discussion, floral design success is made easy. Come join us as we take inspiration from Colonial Williamsburg in creating a beautiful country holiday winter white centerpiece in a pedestal vase with all the charm of Colonial Williamsburg. Student designers will capture the festive season to perfection with white Dutch amaryllis, white garden roses, dusty miller (lamb’s ear), herbs, berries, eucalyptus, pine branches, cones. Through the demonstration of simple garden floral design techniques and one-on-one instruction…success will be holiday magic.
